About OrthoIQ
OrthoIQ is an MIT-founded medical technology startup developing intelligent surgical tools for orthopedic procedures. Our systems provide real-time sensing and feedback to surgeons, helping improve implant fixation, reduce complications, and improve surgical outcomes.
We are building a new class of smart orthopedic instrumentation, combining mechanical systems, sensing, and data to bring intelligence into the operating room.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Market Strategy/Customer Discovery Intern to help expand OrthoIQ’s clinical network and support market research for our surgical technologies.
This role involves working directly with the founding team to identify potential customers, conduct stakeholder interviews, and support early partnerships with hospitals, surgeons, and industry partners.
Responsibilities
Identify and research potential clinical partners and investors
Conduct outreach and user interviews with surgeons, residents, and hospital administrators
Analyze market size, adoption barriers, and reimbursement landscape
Assist in preparation of investor and partnership materials
Track competitive technologies and industry developments
Desired Qualifications
Pursuing a degree in business, engineering, healthcare, or related field
Strong research and communication skills
Interest in healthcare innovation or medical technology
Comfortable reaching out to clinicians and industry professionals
Highly self-directed and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment
